Madison Zylstra’s team-high 23 points help pave the way for Bonita to remain unbeaten in Hacienda League with a 64-37 win over Walnut. The Bearcat win also marked a new school scoring record when Zylstra hit a three-pointer to eclipse the previous mark set in 2006 by Madison’s cousin Carly Horine at 1,284 points.
Along with Zylstra, Taylor Anderson continued her strong play as the LMU bound senior scored 15 points on the night.
Amy McDill led the Mustangs with nine points.
The game was close after the first quarter as Walnut was only down by five heading into the second quarter. The offensive juggernaut that is Bonita scored 25 points to blow-open the contest.
