Elijhaa Penny is looking towards Las Vegas
(Norwalk) – Norwalk running back Elijhaa Penny has committed to UNLV Lancer Coach Jesse Ceniceros said Monday. He will sign a scholarship letter on Wednesday.
Penny who rushed for over 1900 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season entertained several Division I offers before deciding on Nevada Las Vegas. He had been recruited by PAC 10 schools USC and Washington during the season before narrowing it down to UNLV and Colorado earlier this month.
The 6’2″, 245 pound back averaged over nine yards per carry and 172 yards per game during the 2010 campaign in Norwalk’s run oriented offense.
“It’s confirmed,” Ceniceros said. “We’re excited for him. He will make it official February 2”.
