Bowdien Derby and La Salle are number six overall

The real winner this week was the rain as it wreaked havoc on the schedule all week. Nearly all of Friday’s games were called due to damage that the storms did to the playing fields. There were a few changes however with a couple of surprises early in the week.    

1. Crescenta Valley (6-1) – Falcons made quick work of Muir.

2. Bishop Amat (6-2) – Rain washes out showdown with La Salle.   

3. Bonita (7-2) – Bearcats get big win over Diamond Bar.

4. Valley Christian (8-1) – Crusaders keep rolling along.  

5. Glendora (5-2) – Tartans undefeated in Baseline. 

6. La Salle (6-2) – Lancers move up despite rainouts.

7. Damien (4-6) – Huge Sierra League victory over Charter Oak.

8. Charter Oak (5-2) – Chargers get Chino Hills, South Hills this week.   

9. Alhambra (7-2) – Can anybody challenge Moors in Almont? 

10. South Hills (5-3) – Huskies lose two of three in brutal Sierra.  

11. Covina (6-3) – Colt stun Northview 13-0; 2-0 in Valle Vista.

12. San Dimas (5-4) – Saints surprise Nogales with shut out.

13. Nogales (8-2) – Nobles hit bump in the road after hot start.

14. Arcadia 5-2) – Apaches open Pacific with win over Burroughs.

15. Whittier Christian (8-2) – Three shutouts in last five games.

16. Temple City (5-2) – Rams rout visitors from Oregon.

17. Arroyo (4-3) – Have outscored first two league opponents 22-0.

18. Monrovia (4-4-1) – Cats get TC this week.

19. Baldwin Park (5-5) – Win first two in V-Vista including victory over San Dimas.  

20. Northview (4-4) – Nice bounce back win over Pomona. 

21. Sierra Vista (9-2) – Elias Novelo has four extra base hits and 12 RBIs.

22. Montebello (6-2) – We’ll know more once we get into heart of Almont. 

23. Whittier (6-3) – Cardinals are perfect after three games in Del Rio.  

24. Pasadena (7-3) – Bulldogs have won seven of last eight.

25. La Puente (6-1) – Warriors sweep home and home with Azusa.
