Azusa’s defense will challenge the minutemen, and we will see if the maranatha learns to play defense against azusa. They may have a better chance this year because of the loss of so many great starters that asuza had to go threw.
I can’t wait till the matchup between Whittier and maranatha.. It will be interesting, I think maranatha has a significant shot at taking league this year..
So Pas has a new head coach and strong support in the community for seeing an improved football program. No idea on what kind of offseason the Tigers have had and who is suiting up…but it will be interesting to see what they look like this season after eons under HC Smith.
I have liked Yoder at LC since his JV coaching days. He makes his kids believe and they respond on the field. The Spartans always a couple studs up front who can find your quarterback and harass him and this could figure into the week 4 home game for LC.
Thank God for football.
perhaps 6-0 in non league play…and 2-2 in olympic league play…
we know about elfers, but who else do they have??? nobody with any decent experience or production
From what I remember seeing, Murphy did some great things to upgrade the schedule before he left. Santa Maria and Western Christian were replaced with South Pasadena and Azusa. Like Karavedas said in the interview, the league opener/homecoming should be an interesting matchup between the Heralds and Minutemen. If I’m correct, the schedule goes something like this
0. Big Bear–Home
1. La Salle–Away
2. South Pasadena–Away
3. Salesian–Home
4. La Canada–Home
5. Azusa–Home
6. Bye
7. Whittier Christian–Home (Homecoming)
8. Valley- Christian–Away
9. Village Christian–Home
10. L.A.B.–Away

Exactly…nobody besides elfers
If you follow the Olympic league at all, you know what teams “have” coming back…
