Livingston Key for Covina

Covina QB Billy Livingston

(Covina) – His numbers last year were eye popping as he led Covina to the second round of the playoffs before falling to Whittier Christian. A big year for Billy Livingston in 2011 could put the Colts over the top.

“The team and Billy are looking pretty good and really learning a lot,” said Covina Coach Darryl Thomas. “Billy has been to several camps already and has a couple more planned for Summer.”

Thomas said Livingston has already been to camps at Boise State and San Jose State with UC Davis and the Manning Camp coming up.

The Colts have several key returners including RB/LB Gevontray Ainsworth, WR/DB Peter De la Cruz, OL/DL Nick Hynes and “The Dude” Vinny Venegas who plays…well anywhere he wants.

But the key will be Livingston who will be the leader on the field. Here’s a look at his 2010 numbers.

Completions: 175-289. Yards: 2838. Yards per game: 236.5. Touchdowns: 25. Interceptions: 8.

Note: Covina will be throwing at Bonita on Thursday.
