The Quarterback Everyone Should Know More About---Bosco Tech's Dillon Welsh (#4)

Good Morning!

I’m a Zander Anding guy…

Do you really fire your coach on the day of the NBA Draft?

The NBA Draft is like that movie you keep hearing about but turns into Pirates of the Caribbean 3 when you see it… You just expect so much more…All these big names come off the board and you walk away with Elden Campbell…

The Mid: “Are you excited about being back in football?”

Dominic Salmon: “Of course…I have a blast coaching these kids. It’s hard to stay away from high school football for too long.”

Does anybody know about Bosco Tech quarterback Dillon Welsh? I saw him play once last year and the Tigers were routed by Westview but Welsh stood out as a tough young quarterback. In 2010 he passed for eight touchdowns, ran for seven, and caught two for scores…17 touchdowns and no one seems to know who he is…6’1” and probably around 195 and he isn’t in any discussion…Bosco opens with Wilson in Zero Week and might be worth your time…Welsh can play…

First Add Genius of Jerry West: In the 1986 draft the Dallas Mavericks offered the Lakers Mark Aguirre and Roy Tarpley (drafted 7th overall out of Michigan) for James Worthy…Lakers Owner Jerry Buss was ready to pull the trigger, but West said he would quit if that deal was made…The deal wasn’t made…Aguirre got fat, Tarpley got on drugs and the Lakers won the next two titles back to back with Big Game James…Who as good for two off the court as he was on…

What? Covina is not going to be at the Air Assault? That’s like going to Red Lobster and having a sardine…I want to see the Colts…

So it seems, according to our poll, more people think Monrovia can drop a game in 2011 than think I’m crazy…That’ll make you feel good.

Last Add Elden Campbell: He was the 27th overall pick by the Lakers in the first round of the 1990 draft…There was Derrick Coleman, Dennis Scott, Bo Kimble, Kendall Gill, and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (AKA: Chris Jackson)…and Jerry West took Campbell?

While I’ve adopted the Smudgepot as a must see over the last few years…I have to say Diamond Bar at Ayala Thursday night of Zero Week does really intrigue me…

The good news is I don’t have to go to Big Bear this year…

Second Add Genius West: Of the 27 players taken in the first round of the 1990 Draft only Gary Payton played more games (1,335) or had a longer career than Campbell (1,044). So in one of the worst draft classes in NBA history, Jerry West with the final pick in the first round got the second best player.

You know I heard West was a pretty good basketball player too…
