5.) Village Christian head coach Jay Schroeder passed for 20,063 during his 10 seasons under center.

6.) Former Washington State and Los Angeles Avengers receiver Chris Jackson retired from the Arena Football League on Sunday after 13 professional football seasons.

7.) Santa Fe’s Jack Mahlstede enters his final season at the helm for the Cheiftains.

8.) In the 1930’s the Los Angeles Times called the Los Angeles Angels, the Cherubs, Halos and Seraphs.

9.) Marcos Ambrose won his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Monday at Watkins Glen.

10.) The Pacific League went 3-4 in its opening games last season with Burbank, Crescenta Valley and Muir getting wins.
