Good Afternoon! (“The Mid Valley Sports Show” will be live from Bonita Monday night featuring Coach Z. & Coach Podley)

The Monday special is just that, a special. We will still be live on Tuesday night 7-9PM…

You think Lakers management is happy Javaris Crittenton only played 22 games with the team after being a first round pick in 2007?

Jude Oliva waited so long to name a starter at San Gabriel I was beginning to think he scouring the district records to see if Steven Gonzalez had any eligibility left.

Donde Pomona?

Word out of Buena Park, the home of Anthony White and Carlos Mota Jr., is Mountain View has some work to get in before facing the good ship Alhambra.

Speaking of Alhambra, if they do end up putting together a nice run over the next to years it will be in large part to quarterback Joshua Mendoza. A really impressive young quarterback.

Note From Loyal Temple City Fan: “We do not want the synthetic turf! Keep it natural, keep it muddy in November.”

Note to “Bobby Knight”: All I can add to the piece about the Cerritos quarterbacks is both Evan Hunko (Mayfair) and Andrew Buenrostro (La Serna) were very good students. Academics are not the reason they are playing JC ball. I can’t speak for Shane Blood…It is interesting that a host of talented triggerman couldn’t find a home at four-year school (these two seemed like very down to earth kids), could it be the changing of the game to the spread systems hindered these guys? Hunko may just be a case of not getting to throw the ball enough, this is a team player all the way… Curious to your thoughts.

Glad to hear South Hills looked good in its scrimmage, but it was interesting to see that the Huskies went unranked in CIF’s Inland Division Poll.

Shining in the scrimmage against Covina was senior cornerback Ralphie Bingochea.

Clayton Kershaw for CY Young?

Bonita’s Eric Podley was so hospitable on Thursday, I almost feel bad for picking San Dimas to win next Thursday night… And I’m sure Podley is losing a ton of sleep over that…

(Again, we will be live in La Verne this Monday night)

Like mustard is no good without roast beef, neither is Jordan Palmer any good without big brother Carson around…Of course the Bengals waived him, did Jordan really think they wanted him in the first place?

Jordan to Carson is like Jerry to Dick Van Dyke…Like La Toya to Michael Jackson… Like Skip to Bobby Bittman… and Joey to John Travolta…

The Dude abides…
