Off The Cuff: July 8

The “Mitchell Report” is a long and boring.  This taking longer than I thought.

Trying to find the smoking gun about the Dodgers is liking trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Almost impossible.

What did we learn from last night’s Toyota Speedway at Irwindale Report?

Well Gordon “Lug Nutzz” Stewart loves Tony Stewart.  In a brotherly way.

He also managed to say what we all have wanted to say about that circus at Staples Center yesterday.

We also learned he has a severe disdain for Los Angeles Times Columnist T.J. Simers.  He is only one of millions that feel the same way.  Only difference is he doesn’t hide his feelings.

Have you noticed how the Mid Valley Sports staff takes liberties at amusing themselves during their column by making “fun” out of each other.

Have you also noticed that the only two that don’t get made fun of is Duane Barker and George Hernandez.  I can understand why on both cases.
With Barker it’s because we wouldn’t be on the air Tuesday nights and who would be able to take award-winning pictures.  Hernandez’s case is we are all afraid of the head-lock he would administer to us.

If we have learned anything during our five months of bringing the best coverage in the San Gabriel Valley is that Joe Torosian can only speak football, Tim Peterson can’t run anything that requires a computer and John Scanlan is the BIGGEST homer when it comes to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

How big a homer is Scanlan?  He still hasn’t come to grips that Paul LoDuca was pressured into taking steriods.

Speaking of LoDuca, he managed to parlay his MLB career into being a analyst at TVG.  So he usually goes one for three at the beginning of the show before going one for six on a nine race card.

One last note, if you make a habit of posting you will end up in this column.

For example, meet our free editor of the Mid Valley Sports website “MannsJeff“.  Hopefully, I didn’t screw this column up to bad.
