Mid-Valley Division Top 20

Sal Chavarrin leads a solid Rosemead D; Panthers looking for offense

So much for any running the table talk – M-Town goes down! Covina wins big to move to the top while Arroyo survives. How about those Minutemen? The Saints have been angry since losing the Smudgepot in Zero Week. The Moors continue to impress. San Marino has shut out two consecutive opponents.

1. Covina (2-1) – Colts take no prisoners in El Monte.

2. Monrovia (1-1) – Mistakes cost Cats against Arcadia.

3. Arroyo (3-0) – Rivera’s big play (on defense) secures win.

4. Maranatha (3-0) – McGee and Martin too much for Azusa.

5. San Dimas (2-1) – Saints run roughshod over San Gabriel.

6. Alhambra (3-0) – Moors averaging 38 points per game.

7. Village Christian (2-1) – Crusaders hammered by big bad Sierra Canyon.

8. La Puente (2-0) – Ivan Vasquez leading potent LP offense.

9. Montebello (2-1) – Previously unbeaten Oilers gave Arroyo all it could handle.

10. Pomona (2-1) – Red Devils get Chino Hills this week.

11. San Marino (2-0) – Titans haven’t allowed a point.

12. Azusa (0-2) – Desmond Reed has career night; Aztecs need some defense.

13. Whittier Christian (1-2) – Up and down Heralds fall to Kern Valley.

14. Rosemead (0-2) – Defense is fine; Koffler looking for some O.

15. El Monte (1-2) – Lions blitzed by Covina arsenal.

16. Baldwin Park (1-2) – Braves get off the floor with big win over Cantwell.

17. La Canada (1-1) – LC escapes with win over Glendale.

18. Temple City (0-2) – Rams’ road gets rougher; Arcadia next.

19. Schurr (0-2) – Downey drops 50 on Spartans.

20. San Gabriel (1-2) – Yes it was San Dimas but yes 59-6 to anybody is ugly.
