10.) On this night in 2004 Arroyo’s Raul Ramirez rushed 26 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns in the Knights 28-6 victory over Gabrielino at Mark Keppel High School. The game featured several watershed moments. It was played in mud. It yielded the classic picture of the Arroyo offensive line. It was the night linebacker Efrain Oquendo bit on play action on the Eagles first series and quarterback Paul Zuniga made him pay with a 77-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Moreno.

It was also the night Gabrielino football changed forever. The Eagles were a Mission Valley League power for five seasons (2000-2004), winning the MVL in 2000 and several playoff games including a near upset of Los Altos.

Since the loss to Arroyo, seven years ago tonight, Gabrielino has gone 21-49.
