Steven Rivera is in his fourth year as the starting quarterback at Arroyo. Rivera has meant everything to Arroyo. He passes, runs and is the leader on defense too. He is on everybody’s radar as the MVP in the Mid-Valley Division.
But Andy Guerrero is pretty important to SG too. In his second year as starter, he was in a battle with Eric Alvarez for the stating quarterback position all through the summer and even into the first couple weeks into the season before he was finally entrenched as the guy. He can also throw it but he might be an even better runner. He has been an inspiration to the Mats during a perfect league run and on into the playoffs.
