Arcadia's Myles Carr Headed to Stony Brook University

Myles Carr, who has been at the helm of Arcadia’s offense for nearly three seasons, has verbally committed to Stony Brook University located in New York.

Carr finished his high school career with 5,215 passing yards, 64 touchdowns through the air and nine on the ground.

“I was considering Sacramento State, and Montana State as well as Stony Brook,” said Carr, who became sold on the school after talking to one of its coaches. “The offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jeff Behrman, from day one he said that he wanted me to be his quarterback, and I built up a really good connection with him.”

Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Jeff Behrman is in his sixth season at Stony Brook. According to the University’s coaches bio Behrman “has been key in the development of quarterback Michael Coulter and the offense as the Seawolves scored 46 touchdowns, their most since joining Division I in 1999. Behrman directed an offense that scored 30 points or more six times in 2010, including three games of 35 or more.”

The Seawolves staff already have a plan on mind for their new recruit. “About the role I will have, I am expected to redshirt my first year and have a chance to be a 4 year starter my redshirt freshman year.”

The Stony Brook Seawolves finished their season wi.th a record of 9-4. They were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Division I Football Championships. They lost to number one seeded Sam Houston State, 34-27.
