(El Monte) – Rosemead outscored El Monte 20-6 in the fourth quarter and went on to beat the Lady Lions 50-37 Wednesday in Mission Valley League action.
The Lady Panthers were down by six mid way through the third quarter but outscored El Monte 31-13 the rest of the way to secure the win. It was Rosemead’s 31st consecutive victory in MVL play.
Melody Gauthier scored nine points for Rosemead including a basket and three big free throws in the final frame. Amanda Duenas led El Monte with 10 points and Connie To had eight.
Rosemead improved to 5-0 in league play while El Monte dropped to 3-2.
