The TEN

(” The Ten” is not a top ten, but ten items worth being included in The TEN)                

1.)  James Heggins went 7-4 in each of his first three years at Baldwin Park.    

2.)  Pasadena-Arroyo Grande Saturday at Anaheim Convention Center.                                           

3.)  Crescenta Valley falls to Mission Viejo 65-60 in CIF Division 1A Semi Finals.                                    

4.)  Pomona names former assistant Aaron Jamieson the new HC   

5.)  Elijah Brown, son of Laker Coach Mike Brown, will play for Mater Dei Saturday in the CIF Division 1AA Final.     

6.)  The Valle Vista League will feature at least four new head football coaches next year.                                            

7.)  Pasadena freshman guard Jeffrey McClendon.   

8.)  A Sports Illustrated article released Wednesday alleges UCLA’s basketball program over the last four years as rife with widespread fighting amongst teammates, players intentionally injuring others during practice, drinking and smoking marijuana before practices and using Ecstasy at off campus parties.         

9.)  The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to release receiver Hines Ward after 14 years.

10.)  Local schools Alhambra, Mt. View, La Canada, Schurr, Muir and now Baldwin Park all have head football coach vacancies.
