Paying the consequences of driving through Texas with California plates...

“The Across America Edition”

Good Morning!

T-minus-21 until “The Mid Valley Classic”

Game Eleven: September 7, 1990 at Temple City

The Rams snap a three game losing streak with a less than impressive 7-6 win over the Knights. TC holder Javier Ortiz recovered a bobbled snap went one way, then reversed his field to score from 13-yards out. Kicker Nick Tsivgas added the extra-point to give the Rams the lead with 8:05 remaining in the third.

Arroyo took a 6-0 lead with a minute remaining in the first half on D.J. Hoyt’s one-yard run, but the extra-point was missed by back-up kicker Ned Romero. The Knights defense sacked TC quarterback Terry Fesler four times.

For what its worth; Last November Temple City beat Arroyo 7-6, on a missed extra-point in the first round of CIF playoffs at North Field.

I’ll have to ask longtime Covina HC Darryl Thomas about a lady in Amarillo who relocated to Texas from Covina and married the cop who very politely ticketed me for driving 88 in a 70 zone on Thursday…My first moving violation in 27-years…

Conclusion…It’s really a very small country.

Please correct me, I’ll take the correction, but what did Plaxico Burress do to merit two years in prison?

Something I’ve begun to wonder about while on this long trip is what is the fascination with hotel ice? The hotels post signs on where to find it, they put buckets in every room, and people are always looking for it…why? Why is it such a big deal? This is what I hear just about everyday: “Cool, here’s the ice” or “Hey, I already found the ice” or “We need to get some ice”…

What for? Did they sprain an ankle taking the elevator up from the continental breakfast? It’s only ice!

Part of me thinks people just like the dispensers…

If you’re going hit the highways by all means “Cracker Barrel” and the “Golden Corral” are wonderful, but look for a franchise called “Steaks & Shakes”…It’s like butter…

Did you see Von Joshua in the Cubs dugout last night? I have always been a Von Joshua fan…

Caught up with the news on Thursday, so what do you expect from a country where the men wear skirts?

I finally got a free USA Today this morning…

Stay thirsty my friends…
