(Rancho Cucamonga) – Erick Trask went five innings and Nick Sergi threw the last two Thursday to nail down a 6-2 win for Arcadia over Upland in the Rancho Cucamonga Cougar Classic Championship game.

Trask scattered six hits and allowed just one earned run while walking one. He had a pair of strikeouts. Sergi allowed a couple of hits but did not give up a run over the final two frames.

The Apaches got a run in the third to tie it and then broke it open with five in the fifth. The Apaches had eight hits overall with Brendan Campbell and Trask leading the way with two hits each. Campbell drove in two runs and Gary Huang and David Dominguez each knocked in a run.

Arcadia knocked off San Gorgonio, Rancho Cucamonga and Carter earlier in the week to get to the title game. The Apaches (7-1) open Pacific League play against Hoover Tuesday.
