Rosemead Geting Ready

Rosemead Geting Ready

By Tim Peterson

Our first Top 20 is finally here. We’ve seen summer workouts and we’ve seen passing leagues. We’ve even talked to a few coaches.  Have you checked out the Mid Valley Sports show lately? And we’ve thrown all of that information into the system and pumped it out. We know it’s early. This could change after zero week. But for now here you go.

1. Paraclete – 17 returning starters from a CIF championship team. Any more questions?

2. Arroyo- Steven Rivera looks better every day. Load of returning players. Knights took Charter Oak to the final at the SGV Shootout.

3. Monrovia- Nick Bueno can do a lot of things. We like Josh Lowden.

4. Temple City – offense revolves around “Mad” Max Ruckle. Nice O-Line.

5. Rosemead – Luis Diaz is a real butt kicker.

6. Baldwin Park- We might be drinking the BP cool aid but Braves are having a solid summer.

7. Northview – Kamaron Germany’s work load will increase. Randy Contreras is a beast.

8. Azusa – John Chavez picks up where Adrian Gaeta left off.

9. San Marino – Joe Forgatch, Stevie Yortsos are awesome Titan twosome.

10. San Dimas – Kevin Kolbeck looking for break out year.

11. Valley Christian – Paraclete’s biggest threat in Olympic.

12. Covina – Colts always compete. Sebastian Duran moves to QB.

13. El Monte – Quang Phong is back. Are Lions?

14. Gladstone – Could play Cinderella at Mid Valley ball. Paul Flores is a big kid.

15. LA Baptist- Olympic Bronze would mean playoff spot.

16. South El Monte- Eagles and Ray Hernandez have their work cut out.

17. Pomona- Is Taj Teague as good as Titus Teague?

18. Sierra Vista – Dons hope is D is for defense.

19. La Canada – New Coach Dan Yoder has Rocky Moore. Is it enough?

20. Gabrielino – First year Coach Harold Sanin is only second football coach in school history. Vince Lopez remains as offensive line coach.
