1. CHARTER OAK – Number One until they get knocked off.
2. SOUTH HILLS – Imagine how potent this team would be with the Canadas.
3. MUIR – Biggest question mark is the offensive line.
4. WEST COVINA – It will be the Johnson and Ilie show.
5. CALIFORNIA – Rumor has it that defense is the best in the Southeast.
6. SCHURR – If Aaron Cantu can, Spartans will be tough.
7. DIAMOND RANCH – Strong non league schedule makes them dangerous.
8. SAN GABRIEL – Team is much more athletic than last season.
9. LA SERNA – Only Del Rio team to survive last year’s playoff mess.
10. ROWLAND – Michael Ball makes Raiders lethal.
11. CRESCENTA VALLEY – Gave CO fits for a quarter last seasons in the playoffs.
12. BONITA – Spread offense makes for some high scoring games.
13. WALNUT – In any other league Mustangs would be first or second.
14. BURROUGHS – Big playoff win last season.
15. LOS ALTOS – If not in the Miramonte, Conquerors would be playoff bound.
16. SANTA FE – It is the Del Rio league and after last year it’s tough to have faith.
17. ALHAMBRA – Even with athletes, Moors have too many questions.
18. MONTEBELLO – New attitude, new coach may mean new tradition.
19. WILSON – Zavala has his work cut out for him, but Wildcats could be dangerous.
20. ARCADIA – Begins the Golper-less era.
21. BURBANK – How successful can a team be with a coaching carousel?
22. WHITTIER – Needs a running game to be successful.
23. BELL GARDENS – They could sneak up on Almont contenders.
24. PASADENA – New regime for Bulldogs. Still a year or two away.
25. GLENDALE – Undersized and undermanned.
26. EL RANCHO – Down year is expected.
27. KEPPEL – May finally break losing streak.
28. PIONEER – Not much to like with this team.
29. HOOVER – Can’t get much worse.
30. NOGALES – Only way to go is up.
