The Rams dropped their 2026 unis last night, and I’m so glad it is done.
I love the white and blue. I love the 1951 historic. My only problem is that somewhere during the 2026 season they will employ those horrific Midnight Mode/Blue/Rivalry uniforms.
It’s hideous and a contributing factor in why it will take another five to ten years for the franchise to own its own market. The Rams, a franchise run so well, have yet to realize they can lead rather than pander.
The Dodgers, for visiting the White House, are being referenced as sell-outs for not standing up for LA. Fans on social media are declaring shame on the Dodgers, saying they will burn all their Dodger gear, and root for the Angels.
Do I believe people hate Trump? Yes.
Do I believe people are mad at the Dodgers for going to Trump’s White House? Yes.
Do I believe some fans will get rid of their Dodger gear? Yes.
Do I believe most of them are hypocrites for their silence during the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence flap? Yes.
Do I believe angry Dodgers fans will now become Los Angeles Angels fans? Now, you’re just being ridiculous.

LeBron James has chosen Philadelphia. Good move to do it before NFL camps fully open–otherwise, he’ll sink deeper into irrelevance.
While I didn’t care where he landed, I was also pretty sure he’d be heading east. Between San Antonio and Oklahoma City, toss in Jokic at Denver, and what they’re assembling in Minnesota… there’s no room to get back to the finals in the west.
I give LeBron credit for taking the 2-year/8-Rock contract. The 76ers should be fun…but we’ll see who’s on the floor at the end of March.
And, start the clock on how long it will take Bronny to find his way to the City of Brotherly Love.
Does Tom Brady have anybody in his life who loves him? Does he allow anybody in his life who loves him to speak into his life?
Apparently not, because the greatest quarterback of all-time, the guy with seven Super Bowl rings, somehow feels the need to do a publicity dance with Logan Paul.
This only helps Paul.
Deflate-Gate didn’t hurt Brady…but a whorish desire to remain relevant and in the spotlight will. This makes me legitimately sad. What’s next for him? Survivor? The Traitors? First Take with Stephen A.?
The Baltimore Ravens have waived former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia. Pavia, a Heisman finalist who hyped himself as the best QB in the country, went undrafted in April.
I’m wondering if new Ravens HC Mike Minter had the same talk with Pavia that Super Bowl-winning Ravens HC Brian Billick had with former Arizona QB Ortege Jenkins in the first season of Hard Knocks.
After releasing Jenkins at the start of camp:
Billick: Did you get your degree?
Jenkins: Not yet.
Billick: Yeah, you want to get that done.
(Translation: Get that education because you’re not playing professionally.)

@ NWO: I’m generally with you when it comes to the Rams’ uniforms, and this is how I’d rank them:
1. The road uniforms that were introduced in 1973; that design was flashy without being too much.
2. The blue home jerseys which the team began wearing that same season; those were also great.
3. The yellow-gold uniforms of the Rams’ 1951 NFL championship squad. That’s a classic look.
You’re a season-ticket holder at SoFi Stadium? That must be a great experience!
The Rams should be very good once again, and they probably would’ve won the Super Bowl last season had they not barely lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC title game. The Seahawks absolutely clobbered New England in the big one, so the Rams probably would’ve done likewise.
The Rams were the second-best team in the NFL during the 2025 season; their misfortune was that the No. 1 team also happened to be in the same division and conference.
I’ve been a Rams season ticket holder since they came back in 2016. These “new” throwbacks did not move the needle for me. The 1973-1999 uniforms were the best.

This entire drama with LeBron centered on the fact that his market value has dropped significantly. It would look very awkward if he signed with the Lakers for that $4 million, so he pulled this stunt of waiting and supposedly searching his soul about still loving the game, and inked a deal with a team that has very little chance of winning a title, but every chance of providing him an excuse for not spearheading a championship drive. The Lakers and Sixers will not do a deal for Bronny, but that’s OK, because when the youngster’s contract is over, he’ll be quietly ushered out of the league. This scenario looks good for LeBron’s legacy too, because it silences the nepotism talk.
The net result of this is that the James family will exit the league looking like saints, playing for only the love of the game, not for big bucks. Very shrewd indeed.
Ah, the L.A. Rams’ uniforms! Those 1951 throwback uniforms (blue numerals and stripes on gold) are outstanding; the one major difference now is that the helmets have facemasks. (Those weren’t a thing in the NFL until around 1954.)
My other favorites are the home and road uniforms that the Rams adopted after the arrival of new head coach Chuck Knox in 1973. (The home jerseys had gold numerals and stripes on blue, and the road jerseys were white with blue numerals and blue and gold stripes. By the way, that road uniform was similar to the one they previously had as late as 1964 or ’65.
The blue-on-white uniforms that the Rams wore between 1965 and ’72 were OK, but they were on the bland side. (They were also pretty close to the Baltimore Colts’ road uniforms; it should also be noted that the Rams almost always used those white uniforms no matter where they played.)
I think that Coach Allen and company were going for an “L.A. look,” since that blue-on-white color scheme was virtually identical to those of the Dodgers and Lakers. (If I remember correctly, the Lakers changed their uniform colors after owner Jack Kent Cooke moved them from the L.A. Sports Arena to the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood in 1967.)
I like the new blue-on-white uniforms more than the old ones because they have a little more flash; the blue is now an azure or metallic shade, which stands out better than the royal blue that was used during the 1960’s and early ’70’s.
