Fanview Lite: July 31, 2012

I’m just a caveman.

Kick it!

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Joe Torosian and I used to write this column almost on a daily basis…

Well, I’m back…And ready to bring the best sports experience available, in this price range.

Oh, I’ve always been a Shane Victorino fan…and since I’ve yet to see a drooling, cursing rant from ScanMan on Facebook I’ll assume he’s a Victorino fan too.

Looking forward to doing the show tonight, feel like I’ve been away for something like two weeks.

First Add Dodgers: Difficult concept to grasp, the Dodgers are spending money.

What do football coaches do during dead period? I don’t know what they all do, but Village Christian HC Jay Schroeder gets up early every day and takes his dog for a walk across the street from BurbankHigh School.

I asked him who his quarterback was and he said; “Rick Beshore.”

Just kidding.

Next Add Dodgers: Just heard they are trying to locate Vic Davalillo for a few late season at-bats.

I spent the last week in Creston and the weekend at the mechanics, did the Lakers ever get Dwight Howard?

Has anyone talked about what it might mean or do to LeBron James legacy if the U.S. doesn’t win the gold medal?

I know we have an Arroyo moratorium on pictures, but its opener with Los Altos really excites me. Two new quarterbacks, two teams looking to get started on the right foot…

…Of course isn’t every team looking to start on the right foot? I don’t know what’s wrong with getting started on the left foot, but no coach ever says he’s looking to get started on the left foot. “No, we really wanted to get started on the right foot.”

Apparently Villathedevil had the scoop on Kyle Boller’s retirement…okay.

Last Add Dodgers: Thank you Magic Johnson.

Top 20 rankings in the Mid-Valley, Southeast, & Northwest come out tomorrow.

…If I still have a job…Peterson and Bad News are a little uptight that they’ve been left to carry the load.

Anyone ever been to the Cracked Crab in Pismo?

Eerie to consider this, but El Monte could be 4-0 when they face Bell Gardens at home on September 28th, just like they were in 2004, when they faced Bell Gardens at home. Interesting to see that BG had a dominate back then and they have a dominate back now.

The good news? I’m prepared to make an argument that Brandon Martinez might be the best Lions quarterback since Henry Omana (three decades ago)…And Bob Golic will not be there to jack things up.

The Dude abides…
