Whittier Christian was more than likely given the number 1 spot due to the fact that they have played in a MUCH more difficult division during the playoffs for the past few years. W.C, along with Maranatha should make it to the playoffs!

This division is wide open! The truth is that MVS and the SGV fans don’t much about the Tri-Valley and Pioneer leagues at all. They DO know the Olympic, Del Rey, and Montview really well.

I don’t really think Whittier Christian is the #1 team, but it is hard to argue otherwise. The beat Valley and Maranatha last year, St. Bernard lost in the first round, the Montview isn’t usually very good (and Azusa is down this year), and since we don’t know about the Pioneer and Tri-Valley leagues…it is difficult to give anyone from the a #1 spot.

It is my opinion that there is a conspiracy among SGV HC’s this year to give little or no information on their teams to the local press. Most player profiles are coming from parents blogging and trying to get their kid noticed. Maybe it is related to all the coaches quitting last season and many HC’s are worried about any statements they might make to the press will be harshly judged. I think for some that is a smart move. Keep the expectations low for your team and if you come up with some wins then Whadda you know?

I dont know a lot about the Northwest Div, but couldn’t midvalley give a little reason why Whittier Christian is ranked No 1? S Torrance No 2 etc…..
Like WC has a returning All CIF 6’4″ WR Bronkar, QB situation is good, OL is solid etc……..
Just a little depth to the list. I will add to the southeast what i know (not much) :)
