TC Gearing Up

TC Gearing Up

It’s just two days away. We’ve been talking about it since Spring, pumping it all summer. It’s been a great rivalry for years but now it has a name. In just two days Temple City and Arroyo will battle it out in the game now officially known as the Mid Valley Classic.

The CIF realignment before the start of last season brought both teams into the Mid Valley Division. And with the Mid Valley News blanket coverage of the battle every year the name was born. It was a natural.

Arroyo has nearly all of its starters returning and Anthony White has brought a new of enthusiasm to the Rams since

being hired in April. This one is shaping up to be a real classic.

Will Temple City stay on the ground with “Mad” Max Ruckle or will the Rams elect to air it out and surprise Arroyo’s defense? Will Steven Rivera and Chris Rodriguez team up to give the TC secondary fits? How will Jeff Salazar fit into Arroyo’s offensive scheme? Who will be the starting quarterback for Temple City? Is it really Justin Smith? We’ll find out the answers to these questions and many more Friday night at Arroyo’s B.L.Bergstrom Stadium.

Welcome to the Mid Valley Classic.
