1. Dodgers eliminated from post season contention.

2. Detroit’s Miguel Cabrera goes two for three and is on the brink of becoming the first Triple Crown winner since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967.

3. The Jets’ Santonio Holmes may be out for they year.

4. Adam Greenberg struck out as a pinch hitter for the Marlins in his first appearance in the Majors since being beaned in his first major league at bat for the Cubs in 2005.

5. Oakland and Texas are tied for first in the American League West with one game remaining.

6. Drew Brees needs one touchdown pass to break Johnny Unitas’ record of scoring passes in 47 consecutive games.

7. Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano has been diagnosed with leukemia.

8. Sierra Canyon hasn’t lost since December 11, 2010 – a 14-7 loss to Paraclete in the CIF East Valley Championship game.
