The M-Town version of a “Three Dog Night”…Steve Garrison, HC Ryan Maddox, & Mike Minter intend to lead the Wildcats back to Shambala.

Kick it!

Oh, I have always been a fan of Alhambra’s Jesse Campos!

Note to Athletic Directors: Check the cheerleaders playlists…So it will go well with you and you may live long.

Stinking Downey, if they make a play at the end Friday night then I’m a genius for taking them over Paramount. As it stands now, I got to go with Plan B, which is; “I always knew the Pirates were going to win.”

Salt in Wound: Not to rub salt in the wound but San Marino’s 58-point bomb on Temple City Friday night was the most ever scored against the Rams in a game. Ever.

Note to the Del Rio League; Thank you for putting Santa Fe-La Serna on Thursday night.

Redemption for Fred Roggin, a little anyway…After shafting us and short changing us with the Brandon Martinez interview, he and ”The Challenge” gained some redemption with the piece on San Dimas’s Jake Payton.

Next Add Alhambra: When I think of the Moors over the course of the last year, it’s like they’ve been dropped in a blender. But instead of being cut up and coming to pieces, they keep getting stronger. A tip of the cap to this team,…if indeed I were wearing one.

USC should put a little pressure on the PAC 12 Network to cut a deal with Direct TV…I’m not leaving Direct…

I guess Dwight Howard made some sort of debut for a team in Los Angeles? Makes no difference to me, I’m a Clippers fan.

For Arroyo its just about la fiesta acabado…

Congrats to Gentleman John Tuttle and the Glendale Nitros for hanging tough this season.

Ran into some Monrovia bad dudes on Friday night. No, not George Frazier, Brett Walsh, and Anthony Craft. It was Ryan Maddox, Mike Minter, and Steve Garrison…They told me to get off the porch and get to a Wildcat game.

When San Gabriel Tribune writer John Sherrard told me he felt an upset in his bones Saturday night, (That APU was going to beat conference opponent Central Washington) I told him it was the Chipolte being served in the press box.

Turned out it was a good feeling as APU won it’s first game of the season 24-17 over CW.

We are pro Javon Taylor!

Note to Maranatha: Finish off the VC’s (Valley & Village Christian—not the Viet Cong)…and you’ll go to the playoffs.

Last Add San Gabriel Valley League: Dominguez can make a lot of its non-league pains go away with a win over Downey this week.

Last Add M-Town: As long as they come to play Monrovia should beat San Marino this week. If they show up sleepwalking, they’ll have to wait until the fourth quarter to pull it out.

It is always odd to see Rosemead and Arroyo facing off for third place in the MVL. The Panthers run the risk of missing the playoffs for the second consecutive year. The Knights run the risk of missing the playoffs for the first time since 1983.

If Arcadia can find a way to hammer with Sheldon McKinley and Jake Medel, and keep the Muir offense off the field, they may have a chance to get a piece of the Pacific League title.

If they try to run with them? Adios muchachos…

As far as Crescenta Valley is concerned; “I’m so glad we had this time together…Seems we just get started and before you know it, it’s time to say; ‘so long.’”

Last Note on 1983: I saw Peterson dance that year…Did pretty good at a friends wedding…I got a job at Albertsons…I had to hear way too much “Thriller”…and Rosemead beat Arroyo 35-14.

Still digging fantasy football…and no, I didn’t auto-draft.

The ranks of the “Walking Dead” swelled this past weekend…Blair, Mt. View, Baldwin Park, Bosco Tech, Workman, Ganesha, La Canada, Glenn, Bosco Tech, Bassett, Nogales, Pomona, Wilson, Walnut, Diamond Bar, Whittier, Pioneer, El Rancho, Viewpoint…

Northwest Division quarterback of the year? How about Talented Jorge Hernandez? (Not to be confused with Mid Valley staffer Big George Hernandez)…Or you could go Whittier Christian’s Ryan Esslinger…or…?

The Dude abides…
