1.) At 7:55 AM on Sunday December 7th, 1941 the Japanese bombed US Naval and Air bases on Oahu (Pearl Harbor) bringing the US into WWII.

8.) On this date in 2001 eight thousand in attendence saw Mayfair overcome a 9-0 deficit and defeated La Mirada 22-9 in the Division VI CIF title game at Cerritos College. It was the Monsoons second CIF title. In 1998 they defeated the Matadores for the Division IX championship.
