1. Lakers lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers who were 4-17 coming in to the game.

2. The NHL announced the cancellation of games through December 30.

3. The Dodgers have the highest payroll in baseball at $225 million which is $36 million higher than the New York Yankees who are second.

4. Covina point guard Mike Peters had 27 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 9 steals in a win over Temple City in the Azusa Tournament.

5. Kevin Youkilis agrees to a one-year, $12 million deal with the Yankees.

6. Arroyo forward Primitivo Gomez had 36 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists last week in a win over Arcadia.

7. Andrew Luck needs to average just 87 yards over the final three games to break Cam Newton’s record for passing yards by a rookie of 4051 set last year.

8. The Clippers beat Chicago 94-89 to run their win streak to seven straight games.

9. The Baltimore Ravens fire OC Cam Cameron.
