Pasadena Girls Take Down CV

Pasadena (4-11, 2-4) ended a four game skid in Pacific League play and broke through to prevail 50-47 against Crescenta Valley (8-11, 3-3) Wednesday.
The Lady Bulldogs dealt with a 15-0 deficit out of the opening tip against the Falcons, but countered and overcame it all by finishing the half on a 26-10 run to lead by one (26-25) at intermission.
CV ended the third on an 8-2 drive and rode four lead changes early in the fourth, before a 3-pointer by Kristina Tatikian gave PHS the lead for good. Tatikian led all scorers with 16 points.
The Falcons received 10 points in the first half, with two threes, from Tanisha Minasian, who accrued all 15 in three quarters and secured seven steals. Jackie Wilson added nine, attached with seven rebounds, three thefts, and three dimes. Post player Alisa Shinn pounded in ten and pulled down eight boards with two blocks for CV.
Dariel Johnson dialed up an impressive line of 13 points, 17 rebounds, four steals, four assists. and five blocks as another game-changing big factor for Pasadena, who also received a strong effort from Janelle Gil (7 points) with nine boards, four steals, two assists, and a block.
