Arcadia's David Schuil earned a host of admirers with his performance against TC

Arcadia's David Schuil earned a host of admirers with his performance against TC

Good Evening!

Okay, I guess the gloves are off…it looks like Monrovia is playing for keeps.

Hopefully he’s not hurt too bad, but Arcadia’s Garrett Tuck made the definitive high school football run last night against Temple City on a third and one in the fourth quarter.

He covered nine-yards and other runs have been prettier, but he knew what he had to do, pulled the ball down and paid the price. I loved it.

For what its worth to Villathedevil, Burroughs Lucas Yanez threw for 208-yards and a pair of scores last night against St. Francis…

I thought we were friends with Charter Oak…

Has El Monte uncovered a gem at quarterback in Manuel Santa Cruz? The soph had a monster game against G-Stone.

And since we’re speaking of quarterbacks before you mention San Clemente’s Chase Rettig, you need to say something about Santa Fe’s Alex Flores.

(Then again I just mentioned Rettig before Flores…oops)

Michael Ball Update: The Rowland quarterback only completed five of five passes for three touchdowns…He really needs to get more efficient if the Raiders are going to return to the semifinals this season.

The 28-28 tie in “The Brawl for the Mall” was the most thoroughly entertained I’ve been at a football game in years.

Arcadia’s Taylor Lagace can’t declare for college early can he?

Last Add Quarterbacks: Schurr’s Aaron Cantu wen 11 for 11 and three touchdowns against Wilson.

San Marino put Hoover in its place…no sense in letting hope thrive in Tornado Alley…

Duarte’s 55-0 loss to Little Rock extended the Falcons shutout streak to four games and 16 quarters.

How would I describe the 28-28 tie between Temple City and Arcadia (the first since 1956)? It would be like driving cross country on the family vacation and finding out Wally World was closed when you got there.

I’m surprised everyone didn’t go a little crazy.

Honorary Arcadia head coach last night was Randy Backus. The former TC HC’s words to the Apaches after the game were pure Backus.

“You seniors have seven games left in your high school career, just seven. And you juniors might be thinking you have next year, but you don’t. This team, this band of brothers only goes around once. Just once!”

Former Temple City star assistants Tim Loya and Marty Valdez were on the sidelines watching the game.

And good for Arcadia’s David Schuil on living the dream with his 45-yard fumble return of a touchdown in the second quarter last night.

Stay thirsty my friends…
