La Mirada wide receiver Dallas Todd (formerly Dallas Shipp) has been offered a scholarship to play football at Ohio State University.

The 6-5, 210 junior has been receiving lots of interest after back to back outstanding seasons for the Matadores. His 2012 stats of 72 catches for 1.041 yards and 10 touchdowns, followed a 2011 season when he caught 60 passes for 866 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Listed as a senior on MaxPreps, Todd, who recently turned 17 and due to family issues started his freshman year late, will return to the Matadores for the 2013 season.

The offer caps a busy week for La Mirada football with representatives from Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, Arizona State, Northwestern, and New Mexico State all coming by the campus. This coming week Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier is expected to visit.
