(Irwindale) – An estimated 3,000 race fans watched Nick Joanides win his 14th race of the season and saw Ryan Reed clinch the Legends Title on Saturday night.

Darryl Scoggins and Randel King are very close to winning their respective divisions when they start the next race.

LANGERS JUICE S2 – 25 Laps

Randel King went wire-to-wire winning the opening night of the race.  The victory was his fifth race in six starts in the brand new class at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.

King was never challenged by the second-place finisher Ryan Reed.

Andrew Anderson rounded out the podium.

With one race remaining in the series, King must start the last race and claim the first championship in the S2 division.

JUSTICE BROTHERS MINI-STOCK – 35 Laps

Daryl Scoggins took the lead on the sixth lap of the race and pulled away convincingly to win his sixth race of the year.  This was also his second straight victory.

Scoggins only needs to start the final race of the year for Mini-Stocks to clinch his first every Championship.

Tyler Rogers had to weave his way from fourth to get second place, but was still a good straight away from the winner.

The battle of the night was for third place as Ryan Bragdon and Kevin Bernhardt swapped places for much of the race with Bragdon winning the battle.

CLASSIC STOCKS – 30 Laps

Mike Colato Jr finally broke through in the win column on the third-to-last race of the season.

Colato regained the lead on the 26th lap when he drove series leader Ken Michaelian high in turn two and was able to get the inside line for the final four laps.

Michaelian only had the lead for one lap the entire night as he had to battle his way from the back of the pack.

In the early going it was Dennis Ivarsson who lead for seven laps and kept both Colato and Michaelian at bay early on.  He would finish seventh on the night.

After Michaelian it was Tommy Agosta who wound up third and lost another two points in the chase for the Classic Stock crown with two races to go.

With two races remaining, Michaelian leads the points by 48 and has all but sewn up the title.

AC DELCO SUPER LATE MODELS –  100 Lap (Main Event)
Nick Joanides showed how dominant he has been all season long by leading all but the first lap in taking the Eibach Springs 100 at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.

Joanides had to withstand a late caution on the 91st lap when eventual third place finisher Andy Allen spun Keith Spangler in the middle of turns one and two.

Rickey McCray attempted to dive low on the re-start to pass Joanides but was unable to get enough forward bite to get the lead.

For Joanides, it was a cool $5000 awarded to him for the victory and was his 14th win in the series.

The podium finish had some new faces as McCray and Ryan Partridge were second and third.

McCray had his best finish at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale after finishing fifth this year on the 13th race of the year.

The only other leader of the race was Rip Michels who led the first lap of the race.

LEGENDS – 35 Laps

Tom Landreth won his first race of the season when he led 29 of the scheduled 35 laps.  He dedicated the victory to his father Bob, who passed away in March prior to the 2009 racing season.

Donny St Ours was second after racing with Ryan Reed for the spot for most of the evening.  St Ours was able to pass Reed on the 33rd lap.

With his third place finish, Reed locked up the Legends Track Championship with one race to go.

The battle in the points race is for second as Brandon Toy, Chad Schug, and Brent Scheidemantle are all separated by four points.

ASA SPEED TRUCKS – 100 Laps

Jeremiah Wagner took advantage of a seven-car invert and led all 100 laps  to take the final race of the evening.

Wagner had to survive two a green-white-checker finish, when Zak Sawyers spun coming out of the second turn to bring out the caution on the 97th lap.

Chris Birdsong would eventually finish second, but gave Wagner all he could handle from the 46th lap to the finish.  Birdsong appeared to have passed Wagner on the 47th lap but was unable to score on the pylon in first when they crossed the stripe.

Finishing in third was Cole Cabrera, who started in fourth.
