Mt. Sac 14                  Saddleback 24 (Sept. 26, 2009 at Walnut, CA)

Saddleback came to town and knocked Mt. Sac from the ranks of the un-beaten.  In the loss, Jesse Canada (Monrovia) had five catches for 88-yards, Bryce McBride (Bishop Amat) had six carries for nine yards, one catch for five yards and two kick returns for 47-yards.  Ahmere Owens (Muir) had one catch of four yards.

On defense, Arness Ikner (Pasadena) had six tackles and Austin Daniels (Muir) had three.

Citrus 48                     Alan Hancock 48        (Sept. 26, 2009 at Righetti High School)

After getting a nice win last week, Citrus fell back into the losing column.  In defeat, Isaac Tucker (West Covina) carried the ball 12 times for 117-yards and had two catches for 15-yards.  Brandon Stansell (Rowland) had 192 all-purpose yards that included 52 rushing, two receiving and 138 return yards. The 138 included an 80-yard touchdown.

Nico Barbone (San Dimas) added one carry for three yards.

On defense Jesse Prieto (Bishop Amat) had eight tackles, Barbone had four and Xavier Tucker (West Covina) had three.

Fullerton 13                Canyons 26 (Sept. 26, 2009 at Fullerton, CA)

In a loss that added Fullerton’s first blemish to their record, Raul Pintado (Schurr) had six tackles, Derrick Price (Bonita) had four, Juan Perez (South El Monte) had three, Alex Valdez (Schurr) had two and Filipo Tuala (South Hills) had two.

Glendale 6 Orange Coast 10 (Sept. 26, 2009 at Orange Coast College)

Glendale also fell for the first time this year with Willie Youngblood (Muir) carrying the ball 11 times for 22-yards.  Reinaldo Reyes (Blair) had four kick returns for 70-yards and one tackle and Stephen Crutchfield (Blair) had two tackles of his own.

PCC  38 Riverside 7 (Sept. 26, 2009 at Riverside, CA)

PCC won their third straight in convincing fashion.  Nick Ponce (Arcadia) led the way again hitting on 28 of 40 passes for 332-yards and four touchdowns and carried the ball 12 times for 20-yards and a touchdown.  Reuben Thomas (Muir) had four catches for 99-yards and a touchdown, three returns for 58-yards and one carry for seven yards and a score.  Thomas has scored seven touchdowns in his first four games for PCC.  Williams Do (Temple City) also saw action carrying the ball one time for 33-yards.

On defense, Ruben McQueen (Bonita) had three tackles.

ELAC 41 L.A. Southwest 3 (Sept 26, 2009 at East Los Angeles, CA)

Tommy Cogburn update: Cogburn (South El Monte) had one tackle on defense and had two punt returns for three yards.
