6.      Boston Celtic Hall of Famer John Havlicek turns 74 today.

7.      “The Iron Lady” Margaret Thatcher passes away this morning at the age of 87.

8.      On this day in 1974 Hank Aaron hits his 715th home run to break Babe Ruth’s record.

9.      The Knicks beat Oklahoma City on the road for their 12th straight win.
