San Dimas QB Josh Avila

San Dimas QB Josh Avila

Kick it!

Oh, I’ve always been a Yasiel Puig fan…

Go Pacers…yeah, whatever…

It is the fifth day of June and we are still talking about transfers, potential transfers, and coaching situations.

I would drop these into the “Anything Is Possible” file, but what we heard last night before the show was the transfer and check out of San Dimas running back Jake Payton and San Gabriel quarterback Marcus Valenzuela might not be a 100 percent done deals.

Which makes me curious have the lawsuits or litigation begun on West Covina/Diamond Bar talent Noodles Hull?

Speaking of San Dimas, of course it is going to hurt when you lose (or if you lose) a talent like Payton but I don’t believe it devastates a program like the Saints. They have more than enough, including the bulk of their offensive line returning, to make a final’s run.

Where they might miss Payton most is in the most is in that Mid-Valley championship game against Monrovia.

Yeah, I think they will be playing Monrovia. M-Town has the talent, but I think they are going to struggle a little bit during non-league before they get their legs under them. The 2011 team went through a little bit before getting focused…If you remember.

Maria Sharapova is getting it done at Roland Garros…Yeah, I’m more rounded than you think.

Didn’t write about Deacon Jones passing, really made me sad. If interested go to Amazon and order a copy of his book “Head Slap”…Really interesting book, especially if you grew up a Rams fan.

Last Add San Dimas: The key could be quarterback Josh Avila. Usually the Saints quarterback is a game manager, and receives “Dancing With The Stars” style points for the way he hands the ball off in the “Wing Z”.

Avila was 57 of 104 for 1,129 yards and 16 touchdown passes…and he’s got guys to throw to this year. Avila’s 16 scoring strikes are the most any SD quarterback had thrown since David Calvillo fired 20 touchdown passes in 2004.

Next Add Dodgers: Never knew this team could look so good without Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier out of the line up.

Peterson likes Rosemead this year…

I’d like to get some Rosemead gear this year…its been a little light lately.

Montebello scored big time Mid Valley Sports karma with some nice shirts last night.

Yesterday it was mentioned in “The TEN” that Arcadia and Alhambra have not met on the football field since 1982…The next add to that would be Alhambra has not beaten Arcadia since 1972.

Is Lane Kiffin still the head coach at USC?

Go Bruins!

The Dude abides…
