 Citrus 10                     Desert 17        (Oct 3, 2009 at Glendora, CA)

 Brandon Stansell (Rowland) had another solid performance in the loss.   Stansell carried the ball 15 times for 62-yards, had three receptions for 18-yards and four kick returns for 112-yards.  Kyle Shirley (West Covina) had one catch for three yards

 On defense Jesse Prieto (Bishop Amat) had two tackles,  Nico Barbone (San Dimas) had two and Fernando Noriega (El Monte) had one.

 Fullerton 38                Orange Coast 10                         (Oct. 3, 2009 at Fullerton, CA)      

 Fullerton got back on track and in the win David Slover (South Hills) had five tackles and ½ a sack, Filipo Tuala (South El Monte) had five tackles, Derrick Price (Bonita) four, Joe Morales (South El Monte) four, Raul Pintado (Schurr) had three, Alex Valdez (Schurr) had two plus and interception and A.J. Pasalo (Charter Oak) had one.

 Glendale 13                Ventura 20     (Oct 3, 2009 at Ventura, CA)  

 Glendale lost it’s second in a row with Willie Youngblood (Muir) getting only nine yards on four carries and Reinaldo Reyes (Blair) with one catch for nine yards and four kick returns for 112. 

PCC  13                      Bakersfield 34               (Oct 3, 2009 at Bakersfield, CA)

It was a tough night in the loss for Nick Ponce (Arcadia).  Ponce completed 20 of 36 passes for 238-yards and a touchdown but had five interceptions.  Jonathan Troast (South Pasadena) came on to complete two of five for 16-yards but got picked off as well.  Reuben Thomas (Muir) got another touchdown on a four yard run, three catches for 30-yards, five kick returns for 72-yards and three tackles. It was rumored that Thomas also drove the team bus home from Ventura.  Devance Harris (Charter Oak) chipped in with four catches for 43-yards.

On defense, Ruben McQueen (Bonita) had two tackles and Williams Do (Temple City) had one.

 ELAC 27          L.A. Pierce 35      (Oct. 3, 2009 at East Los Angeles, CA)

Pedro Velasquez (El Monte) had a huge day for ELAC, going 32 of 54 for 435-yards and three touchdowns but it wasn’t enough.  Maquis “Rufus” Williams (Monrovia) caught two balls from Velasquez for 27-yards.
