Eli Snyder will try to guide the Minutemen to the playoffs

Eli Snyder: Maranatha, Jr., #14, QB, 5-10, 155

2012 Stats: 51-107, 693 yards, 10 TD, 4 Int.

Got his chance a year early last year when Andrew Elffers went down for the the season with an injury. In only eight games, six full, Snyder picked up the offense quickly throwing for close to 700 yards. Although unfortunate for Elffers, it was a blessing in disguise for Snyder who was thrown into the fire as a sophomore. Now he has to make another adjustment with new Jude Oliva taking the head coaching reigns from Pete Karavedas.

“He’ll be fine. He’s picking it up,” Oliva said. “It was good that he got so much experience last year.”

Oliva runs an offense that should suit Snyder to the T. A lot of run and gun, and no huddle and the next thing you know Snyder could be throwing for close to 2000 yards. The Minutemen finished 3-7 last year and are looking to get back to the post season. In order for Maranatha to get back on track, Snyder will be the one driving the bus.
