1. Ichiro Suzuki gets his 4000th career hit in professional baseball. The accomplishment is a combined total between the Japan and the American major leagues.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell to miss six to eight weeks with a Lisfranc injury.

3. Zach Greinke goes eight innings to pick up his twelfth win as the Dodgers beat the Marlins 4-1 Wednesday night.

4. Chris Davis hits his 46th home run of the year as the Orioles beat Tampa Bay 4-2.

5. USC tailback Silas Redd is questionable for the season opener next week at Hawaii. Lane Kiffin is still unsure whether Max Wittek or Cody Kessler will start at quarterback.

6. Chicago Bears’ rookie linebacker Jon Bostic was fined $21,000 Wednesday for his hit on San Diego Charger receiver Mike Willie. There was no penalty flag on the play.
