Monrovia, Paraclete and Arroyo all won impressively. Sierra Canyon lost but the Blazers schedule looks like something out of the SEC. Is Northview actually the team to beat in the Valle Vista? Surprise team of the division? Baldwin Park!

1. Monrovia (1-0) – This time Wildcats finished Ayala.

2. Paraclete- (1-1) – Spirits slam Burroughs in rebound win.

3. Arroyo (1-1) – Knights did what they had to in Mid-Valley Classic.

4. Sierra Canyon (0-2) – Tough schedule affecting Blazers; Taft next.

5. Northview (2-0) – Vikings have outscored first two opponents 85-7.

6. San Dimas (0-2) – Two solid Southeast opponents; two losses.

7. San Marino (1-0) – Titans jump into top ten with rout of Duarte.

8. Bell Gardens (0-1) – Lancers lose in Burbank, but that was expected.

9. Windward (2-0) – Both were ugly but both were wins.

10. South El Monte (1-0) – Sophomore running back Marcos Lopez!

11. Baldwin Park (2-0) – Surprising Braves have racked up 100 points in two games.

12. Schurr (0-1) – A lot of teams lose to Buena Park.

13. Gabrielino (2-0) – Eagles have rolled 57-0 in two games; time to schedule up.

14. Viewpoint (2-1) – Patriots cruise 62-0 over somebody called Mountain Empire.

15. Pomona (2-0) – Red Devils dispense of Don Lugo.

16. Rosemead (0-1) – Panthers fall to Irvine; need to bounce back against South.

17. Montebello (0-2) – Oliers can see where they’re at this week at South El Monte.

18. Covina (0-2) – The Pernell Smalleys should get on track vs. San Gabriel this week.

19. La Canada (1-0) – Spartans good enough to beat Alhambra.

20. Mt. View (1-0) – Vikings knock off Bassett in opener.
