Tartan quarterback Matt Fink found Kieran Campbell at the Bearcat 15-yard line on the first play in overtime with Campbell doing the rest shedding defenders on his way to the game winning touchdown. The win improved Glendora to 2-0 on the young season.

Fink finished 13-of-28 with 192 yards passing and three touchdowns. Briton Noskoff and Campbell caught most of the passes for the Tartan receivers as they amassed 169 of the 198 yards.

The Bearcats took the lead on its opening possession of overtime on Christian Cobian’s 31 yard field goal.

*** The first half was very chippy to say the least as both teams accounted for six-15 yard penalties.

*** Bonita’s first score was set up by a pass interference and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty by Glendora. Payton scored his first of two touchdowns on the drive.

*** Tanner Diebold finished 14 of 24 for 124 yards with most of it coming in the first half.

*** Bearcats were lucky to be up by 12 at the half. A late interception by Glendora’s Collin Grady was returned to the BoHi 25-yard line. A missed field goal that hit the right upright with eight seconds helped.

***Other than Payton’s 83-yard score, Bonita managed only 50 total yards on offense in the second half. Glendora only managed 147 yards in second half.

*** Fourth quarter will haunt the Bearcats as they managed just 19 yards of total offense. Diebold went two for four. That includes the overtime.

***Joey Paulus led the Tartans with 62 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Amin Raad finished with 51 yards on 12 carries.

***Christian McQueen and Thomas Loy each had a sack for the Bearcats.

***Bonita finishes its non-league schedule at Claremont,  0-2 (Glendora defeated the Wolfpack in Week 1, 23-15)

***The remainder of the Bearcat rushing offense finished with just 4 yards on 10 carries.
