Yeah, we got a new number one. D-Ranch might be for real, how far can Burbank and Crescenta Valley go…and, at least in the Hacienda, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

.) Norwalk (5-0): Previous Week: 1: Will they win it all? Remains to be seen. Are they the best right now? We think so.

.) Downey (2-3): Prev. Wk: 1: Forget the record. No one wants to play these guys now or later.

.) Los Altos (4-0): Prev. Wk: 3: They get D-Ranch this week. This week we get a clearer indication how good. “There will be blood tonight!”

.) La Serna (3-2): Prev. Wk: 3: The Lancers have completed their non-league Bataan march. Santa Fe awaits, post-season beckons, the elusive crown is within grasp.

.) Santa Fe (3-1): Prev. Wk: 5: It’s time. They get Chapperal this week. They need to stay healthy. They need to be primed to avoid a stumble in the Del Rio.

.) Diamond Ranch (4-1): Prev. Wk: 6: Seemed suspect in this spot a week ago. After hammering The WC they seem like a contender.

.) Burbank (4-0): Prev. Wk: 9: When they get a little more physical against the run they will be ready to climb. Everything else is in place.

.) La Mirada (1-4): Prev. Wk: 11: The rest of the Suburban is going to pay the bill for the Matadores 0-4 start. Our prediction is pain!

.) Diamond Bar (4-1): Prev. Wk: 13:  The goal is to get to November. Bonita is down, but WestCo, Los Altos, and Diamond Ranch are all looming large in Brahmas Southeast swan song.

.) Muir (3-1): Prev. Wk: 7: They win but they drop? Yeah, because if the Mustangs played like they did against Hoover against some other team they might not still be around to talk about it. Fine line between greatness and oblivion.

.) Crescenta Valley (4-0): Prev. Wk: 10: The Falcons have soared as high as they can, next level will come with wins over Burroughs, Burbank, and Muir.

.) Bonita (3-2): Prev. Wk: 8: The question was put last week that they had already played their best football. After being dismantled by D-Bar last week the answer is: Perhaps.

.) Paramount (3-1): Prev. Wk: 14: In the perfect spot, not too high, not too low…waiting to bite someone hard on the ankle the first week of the playoffs.

.) West Covina (2-3): Prev. Wk: 12: Didn’t stop D-Ranch and now a faster D-Bar comes to town…Mmm? Do the Brahmas run a Fly Sweep?

.) Dominguez (3-1): Prev. Wk: 15: Nice win over Compton Centennial, but not overly impressive. See Paramount.

.) Bellflower (2-3): Prev. Wk: 15: The blasting by the Matadores hurts…Truly the season hangs in the balance against Mayfair this week.

.) El Rancho (2-3): Prev. Wk: 19: These guys can score and they’ve been given life in the Del Rio with the injury bug biting Pioneer. Third spot, the final playoff spot, is theirs to lose.

.) Mayfair (2-3): Prev. Wk: 20: Is it Monsoon season? If they beat Bellflower, then start preparing for rain.

.) Artesia (3-2):  Prev. Wk: 18: Badly need victory over Cerritos to keep playoff hopes alive. If they lose then it’s time to start singing “The Last Farewell”…

.) Burroughs (2-2): Prev. Wk: N/R: Andrew Williams and Conor Joyce have given the Indians enough offense to get into the Top 20…Now the defense needs to get really physical with CV & The Great Gadsby.

Out of To 20: Pioneer (3-2)—Bad loss to Montebello. Worse loss is Jonathan Jimenez for the season.
