(Pomona) – The Pomona Red Devils looked potent on their home field once again and remain undefeated (8-0) after a 61-21 display of complete dominance over visiting Baldwin Park on both sides of the ball Friday Night at Pomona High School.

Shawn Wilson and Darreon Lockett served as the offensive fire power for the Red Devils despite the team being handed down over 10 player suspensions for last week’s sideline clearing incident against Wilson. Lockett, who finished with 7 TD’s and over 450 yards of total offense, connected with Wilson on 4 Touchdown strikes.

The Victory keeps Pomona unbeaten and on pace for a showdown with San Dimas for a potential Valle Vista league title matchup, but head coach Aaron Jamieson refuses to look past any opponent.

“We don’t get ahead,” said coach Jamieson. “Nogales is a great football team and we’re looking forward to playing them next week, having a good week of practice of executing and working hard in the classroom and getting it done on the football field”.

Michael Moran had his hand in all 3 touchdowns for Baldwin Park and the Braves came as close as 14-7 in the first aand 27-14 in the second before Pomona put on the after burners and pulled away.

This one day approach has been working for the Red Devils, but really it is their cohesiveness which has really been the wind behind their sails.

“Everybody is working extremely hard, it’s a community effort,” continued Jamieson. “Look at all the people that came out from the city tonight, it’s a beautiful thing. My goal as a head coach is to build something positive for this city, it’s a great city and I just want great things to happen”.
