Good Afternoon!

Worst news of the season? Rowland’s Michael Ball going down for the count against Walnut.

Give credit to HC Craig Snyder and the rest of the Raiders for holding it together for a big win over the Mustangs.

El Monte is 0-6 for the first time since going 0-10 in 1997…The good news for the Lion faithful is the Mission Valley is a sea of chaos and nothing is over, including  being 0-1, in league and 0-6 overall.

Although, they have to be feeling very alive down at South El Monte for the first time in a long time.

Guy walks into an unemployment office and the man behind the desk asks; “What happened?”

Guy answers; “George Bush.”

Another guy walks into the unemployment office and the man behind the desk asks; “What happened?”

Guy answers; “Barack Obama.”

Charlie Weiss walks into the unemployment office and the man behind the desk asks; “What happened?”

Weiss answers; “Pete Carroll.”

Was that South Bend Fever the refs got in the second half on Saturday?

A flag came through my flat screen to penalize me 15-yards for excessive emotion after a 15-yard penalty against USC.

Temple City hosts Monrovia Friday night in a huge Rio Hondo League match, but how much of a home field advantage will the Rams have?

Not much, TC holds a slim 7-6 advantage in game’s played at North Field.

Overall Temple City leads M-Town in the series 14-12-1.

Based on the season he is having does Rueben “Bingo” Thomas stay another year at Pasadena City College?

Walnut-West Covina is a monster game this week…It’s difficult to find hope when you’re 0-2 in the San Antonio and the loser of this contest will be 0-2 in the San Antone…

I loved the way the Dodgers rose to the challenge last night.

Note to Villathedevil: Arcadia actually missed the playoffs last year. Sorry.

Someone actually told me in regards San Marino it is all about the scheduling.

If anyone is expecting a change at the top in the MVL next season think again. While it’s well known Arroyo will have a ton of talent coming back in 2010, so will Rosemead. Luis Diaz, Greg Parham, and Conrado Simpson are seniors…but Matt Koffler brings back a ton of Bubbas on the front line, including Matt Fregoso at tailback. Also shining in the “Crosstown Showdown” Friday was sophomore linebacker Matt Eddy.

I’m going to assume Eddy is the brother of former Panther standout Joe Eddy who recorded 15-sacks in 2007. They both wear number 32. (I welcome the correction.)

Where did TC’s Andrew Anda come from? The junior receiver has caught 12 passes and averaging 22-yards a catch.

A better question might be who is throwing Anda the ball? Justin Smith, who didn’t play football a year ago, has thrown for over a thousand yards, seven touchdowns (1 pick), and rushed for over 200-yards and three touchdowns.

No one could have predicted this kind of production.

Stay thirsty my friends…
