Area Roundup:
La Salle 50, Flintridge Sacred Heart 34 La Salle careened into command outscoring FSHA 25-6 in the second quarter en route to the victory, sparked by a huge first half from Claire Fitzgerald, who scored 18 points (15 in the second quarter) and amassed a game-high 23 points with 15 rebounds.
The Lancers dominated the boards, outrebounding the Tologs 49-17, as Celeste Browne (8 points, 7 rebounds), Caroline Knop (7 points, 10 rebounds) and Dionna Williams (6 points, 11 rebounds) all contributed to that team effort.
Jenna Tran had 11 points and three steals to lead FSHA.

La Canada 56, Pasadena Poly 36 Courtney Chen notched a modest eight points but it was her dishes and dimes that helped engineer La Canada’s pivotal lively punch during the game as the senior guard wheeled 12 assists towards the win.
The Spartans received 25 points of bench support in the game, led by Sarah Kurdoghlian with nine, while Amber Graves and Haley Miller, each adding eight points, were actively cashing in the post during the second half where combined for 14 points.
Both LC’s Alyssa Miller and Poly’s Kiki Yang shared leading scorer honors with 16 points and four three-pointers apiece. Kaitlyn Olah muscled in a 13 point and 15 rebound double-double, while Alana Jackson added three points and nine boards, for the Panthers.

Out Of Area Roundup:
The tournament championship featured a duel between two Marmonte league teams and was won by Moorpark 64-52 over Royal as MVP Kira Cusworth notched 18 points, seven rebounds, and four steals, leading a four player contingent in double figures scoring. Her 18 was co-best with teammate Leah Daley, who came close to a triple double, scoring 18 points with eight rebounds and nine steals.
Paige Peel had 13 points and 11 rebounds; Paige Sullivan scored 11, and Kaela Disney, finishing scoreless, played an important factor with 10 rebounds, for the Musketeers.
Brooke Zamora put in 16 points, as did Bri Reser, who collected 10 rebounds and dished five assists, to lead the Royal Highlanders.

In the third-place game, Hart overcame a nine point (18-27) halftime deficit and responded by inching ahead 39-37 off a 21-10 third quarter, before exhibiting grit down the stretch to prevail 54-50 over Thousand Oaks. Breze Kimble, who finished the tournament averaging a double-double, led Hart in points, rebounds, assists, and steals with 20-8-4-4.
Jhazmin Joson delivered 11 of her 13 in the second half, while the trio of Julia White, Nicole Benz, and Sophia Jacobson rounded out the point tally with seven points apiece for the Hart Indians.
Alexa Coubal proved relentless in the post for TO in the loss as she finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Vanessa Desimone had nine points plus four steals, and Raquel Sheppard dropped eight points and snatched eight rebounds.
