1.  Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will match up for the 15th time in Sunday’s AFC Championship. Brady’s record is 10-4.  Previous 14 game stats: Manning 3,971 yards 29 td’s and 20 int’s, Brady 3,403 yards 26 td’s and 12 int’s.

2.  La Canada’s Tom Hofman reaches 600 win milestone in Friday night’s win over La Salle.

3.  Michael Jordan retired for the second time on this day in 1999 and returned in 2001.

4.  After going 12-4 to start the season, Bonita’s Greg Eckler resigns his coaching position.

5.  The Colt’s Andrew Luck throws four interceptions Saturday against New England for a total of seven in his last two playoff games.

6.  Arbitrator reduces Alex Rodriguez suspension from 211 to 162 games.

7.  Former USC head coach Lane Kiffin hired by Nick Saban and Alabama as the offensive coordinator.

8.  On this day in 1982 Hank Aaron and Frank Robinson were elected into the MLB Hall of Fame.

9.  Anaheim Duck Jonas Hiller has won 14 straight in goal while the Ducks have won 17 in an 18 game stretch.
