La Canada’s Tamar Hill steps down
(La Canada) – La Canada girls basketball head coach Tamar Hill announced her resignation Friday. Hill led the Spartans to a 24-7 record overall this last season and into the semi finals of the Division 3 CIF playoffs where they fell to Santa Margarita.
La Canada knocked off San Luis Obispo and Oak Park on its way to the semis. The Spartans also got an invitation to the State Tournament where they beat Eagle Rock before losing to Santa Barbara. It was the first time in the history of the school that La Canada played in the State Tournament.
A search for a new coach will begin immediately.
