3.) Former Pasadena/Bishop Amat football player Austin Lacy, 18, passes away on this day in 2011 from a heart condition in a Maryland hospital.

4.) On this day in 1937, The Sporting News reports that catcher Josh Gibson of the Negro League’s Homestead Grays hit a ball two feet from the top of the façade of Yankee Stadium, 580 feet from home plate.

10.) The Warren Bears are 1-28-1 over the last three seasons. They are currently riding a 22 game losing streak. Have not had a winning record or made a playoff appearance since 2009.
