The Ten

1.  The King’s Alec Martinez scores in double-overtime to beat the Rangers and the Kings win the Stanley Cup for the second time in three years.

2.  The San Antonio Spurs knock off the Miami Heat 104-87 in game five and win their fifth NBA title.

3.  Samora Goodson hauls in 11 passes for 171 yards and two scores to help the L.A. Kiss break an eight game losing streak.

4.  The parade to honor the Kings victory will be today starting at 12:00 pm beginning at the  intersection of Fifth and Figueroa and will continue down to Chick Hearn Drive.

5.  Martin Kaymer wins the U.S. Open by eight shots at Pinehurst #2.

6. Former Angel first baseman Wally Joyner turns 52 today.

7.  The U.S. National Soccer team takes on Ghana today at 3:00 pm in their opening game of the 2014 World Cup.

8.  On this day in 1987 Carl Yazstrzemski hits his 1000th extra base hit.

9.  Four time Super Bowl winning head coach Chuck Knoll passes away Friday night at the age of 82
