New South El Monte football coach Ray Hernandez will be live on “The Mid Valley Sports Show” this Tuesday, March 10th.
Hernandez was named the third head football coach in South history after Bill Thompson and Erick Escamilla. He is also the second LP football coach to come to the Mission Valley League this decade. Matt Koffler returned to Rosemead in 2004 after a one year stint leading the Warriors the previous season.

Hernandez served as defensive coordinator for the 2005 Rosemead team that finished the regular season 10-0, including a week nine win at “The Swamp” that is still talked about as one of the greatest, if not greatest, MVL games of all time.
