1.  Clayton Kershaw went 6-0 in the month of June with a .82 ERA and allowed only 4 runs in 44 innings while striking out 61. Kershaw’s 13 strikeout performance against the Cardinals Sunday help push the Dodgers into a first place tie in the NL West.

3.  The NFL granted the Atlanta Falcons a franchise on this day in 1965.
