The Ten

(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1.  Clayton Kershaw posts his 11th straight victory and is now 14-2 with a 5-1 victory over the Brewers.

2.  Evander Holyfield and Roberto Duran were inducted in to the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame. Holyfield was introduced by Mike Tyson.

3.  Rory McIlroy wins three straight tournaments including two majors (British Open, PGA Championship)

4.  Albert Puljos blast  in the bottom of the 19th to give the Angels the 5-4 win over the Red Sox.

5.  The Cleveland Gladiators and the Arizona Rattlers advance to the 2014 Arena Bowl.

6.  “Miracle on Ice” head coach Herb Brooks passed away on this day in 2003 in a single car accident.

7.  Former Downey Viking and and current USC Trojan linebacker Jabri Ruffin tears a knee ligament and is lost for the 2014 season.

8.  On this day in 1929 Babe Ruth becomes the first to hit 500 home runs.

9.  Maranatha v. Azusa Friday September 19 @ Citrus College.
